Larry Smith brings extensive leadership experience in three areas: consulting, product development, and entrepreneurship. On the strength of multiple industry awards Larry consulted to premier industry clients for over a decade. Since founding PartnerServe in 1997 his work has led to technological innovations, commercial successes and continued award recognition. His early work in linguistics led naturally to a role as a respected go-to consultant for natural language processing and product development opportunities. He regularly makes key engineering contributions to historic software development projects and successful commercial ventures. As an entrepreneur he founded and led a virtual organization in 1996 to create a ground-breaking consumer product review site www.consumerdemocracy.com, which today still serves a basic need, even after vastly funded competitors met their demise in the Internet bubble. Previously, he helped found an academic linguistics department where he specialized in the Inuktitut (Eskimo) language for computational linguistics research, led several well-funded government research projects, and published extensively in recognized academic journals. Larry’s degrees and diplomas reflect his enrollment at 8 universities in France and the U.S.
